Sintered Multi-Layer Mesh Laminates for Critical Industrial Filtration
Diffusion-bonded under high temperature and vacuum pressure, our multi-layer sintered stainless steel wire mesh integrates high mechanical strength, rigid pore geometry, and micron-grade precision into a monolithic filter structure.
Zero Fiber Migration
Diffusion-bonded wire intersections eliminate loose particles.
Continuous Backwash
Maintains rigid pore stability during pulse cleaning cycles.
Thermal & Chemical Resistance
Operates reliably in harsh corrosive and high-heat streams.
Customizable Layers
Engineered 2 to 7 layer combinations for specific fluid dynamics.
Diffusion Bonding & Multi-Layer Sintering Technology
By applying high-vacuum thermal compression, individual stainless steel woven wire mesh layers achieve solid-state atomic diffusion at every wire crossover. The result is a dimensionally stable, non-shedding filter medium engineered for extreme differential pressures.
Solid-State Diffusion Bonding Process
Individual Dutch, Twilled, or Plain weave mesh layers are calibrated and aligned along machine-direction axes to ensure pore concentricity and uniform permeability.
Aligned wire cloth laminate is placed in clean high-vacuum furnaces under continuous mechanical isostatic pressure (10 to 30 MPa) to eliminate interstitial micro-voids.
Heated just below the solidus melting point (1150°C – 1250°C), stainless steel atoms migrate across contact boundaries, fusing all wire intersections into a rigid monolithic matrix without weld filler.
Controlled roll-pass planarization achieves exact dimensional thickness, stabilizing pore geometry against high differential pressures and backwash stress.
Layer Stacking Configurations
Select a layer architecture to inspect how each mesh layer combines pore rating precision with mechanical reinforcement.
5-Layer Sintered Mesh (Industry Workhorse)
The definitive industrial standard. Distributes high mechanical backwash pressure evenly, completely eliminating wire displacement and media migration.
Single-Layer Mesh vs. Diffusion-Bonded Laminate
Why engineers choose vacuum sintered laminate over conventional single woven wire cloth in mission-critical filtration systems.
| Engineering Criterion | Standard Single-Layer Mesh | MutualFilter Sintered Laminate | Operational Benefit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pore Stability Under High ΔP | Wires shift and widen under pressure surges | Rigid atomic bonding locks aperture shape permanently | Zero rating drift up to 200 bar differential |
| Fiber / Wire Shedding | Risk of loose wire strand shedding in downstream flow | Solid-state fused structure eliminates all media migration | Strict compliance with FDA and GMP standards |
| Cleanability & Backwash | Prone to deformation during pulsed sonic/hydraulic blowback | High burst tolerance allows repeated steam and ultrasonic cleaning | 5x to 10x longer working life cycle |
| Machining & Custom Fabrication | Fraying edges when laser-cut, stamped, or welded | Can be pleated, rolled into tubes, laser cut, and seam-welded cleanly | Seamless integration into OEM filter housings |
